Full Tilt boot flex equivalents???

Hey guys, I just ordered a pair of 2015 Full Tilt B&E boots and I was just wondering about what flex they would relate to in traditional flex ratings. They have a 6 flex tongue and have the Pro Intuition liner, which i know adds a bit extra stiffness.

how much do you weigh/how tall are you?

what boots did you have before, could you flex them alright?

I am about 150 lbs and am 5' 10". I had some early 2000s Technica Rival X9s. They were flex 80 i think, and they are way softer than the new FTs.

This would be about my guess too. This is based on absolutely zero science though, just me thinking about some fulltilts that had a 6 flex and trying to relate them to old boots that i used to ski.

Holy shit seriously? That is pretty damn soft....what would you say their 10 is at then?... like a 110?

i dont know how you kids do it, i found my #10 tongue FTs a bit too soft even in the park. most of you are probably bigger than me too.

pretty stoked on my kyrptons now. i find stiffer boots make big sketchy switch landings a bit easier, better control in pipe, better control on take offs etc. i guess if all you do is hit rails and shit than soft boots would be alright.

I feel that I get more response out of the ski with a stiffer boot. I have 120 flex Dalbello Il Moro T's with stiffeners on the high setting.

I'm 5'8" 170 and love the 8 flex. I have the 10's and are a bit too stiff and 6's are a bit too soft for me. The 8's seem like they're anywhere from 90ish-110ish.

Have no idea how people can rip hard (besides park) on anything softer than a 100 MINIMUM. I'm 165 and 5'8''. I rock a full blown 130 flex freeride boot. Would never considering going less. SO much more response. Anytime the skiing gets steeper/harrier its amazing how much better they are than my last boots that were 110

Something worth noting about full tilt flex, the way a full tilt flexes is different than any other boot, which some translate to being softer than most boots. It's more of an "even" flex. Also something else to consider, there is no standard by which all boots flex is measured. The individual OEM's come up with their own scale. A lange 130, is not a dalbello 130, which is not a technica 130. Lastly with regards to flex, your individual range of motion can play just as much if not more of a factor in what flex you should be ridding in than how hard you charge.
