Two Runs - A competitors take on freeskiing

Hello M&A. I finished my first real, professional quality video this past Friday so I could submit it a film festival.

The short film follows Alvaro (mostly pipe comp skier) first with a traditional interview followed by a ski edit.

Decided to post this here as I don't think that most other users of Newschoolers would appricate this type of video. If you believe otherwise let me know.

I hope you all enjoy. Kind feedback and comments would be appricated. I'm posting this here to share, not for someone to bash on it.

loved it! im a fairly critical person but tbh i couldnt really find much to criticize with that film... normally i would say too much slowmo but i think it worked very well with the videos mood and tempo... great song choice as well. the only thing i would say is that you should have introduced yourself in the beginning of the interview, but other than that great work

such a sick video! great pacing and everything! I loved the color grading it was nice!.

Honestly, this was done extremely well. Colors were great, sound and music choices were on point, and most importantly, it made sense. Everything flowed very nicely.

One of the best videos I've seen in a very long time imo

that's pretty cool! One thing I'd maybe adjust is the white balance/exposure on the interview part of it, maybe next time put a light on him/adjust white balance and tweak?

Pretty good man. Well done.

There are some pretty big corrections you need to make with exposure throughout the whole edit, and your WB and contrast / levels in general will need some work as well. Do you know how to grade? What software are you using?

I'm actually not the one in the video, I just produced/directed/ filmed the entire thing. Thanks though!

I did what I could with the interview lighting. It was very last minute and I don't have access to lighting of that sort plus it was overcast and getting dark. I chose to have an interview outside rather than have an indoor setting with possibly better light.

Pretty sure there aren't any odd or incorrectly exposed shots in the film other than the interview part.
I color graded it the way I found fitting, and used the built in software of Premiere Pro CC. Didn't have time to get serious and put it through DaVinchi Resolve.
