Recommend me an all mountain east coast carving/charger ski

ON3P kartel 98 is the go to all mountain ski of the century

in my opinion everybody that can afford multiple skis should have a race(inspired) ski. Rossi Pursuit or Head Supershapes. I know that's not the ski you are describing, but trust me you won't regret buying a true frontside ski.

be patient and buy used. I just picked up a pair of 07 chronics that are fully cambered and have a nice round flex in good condition for $30.

I'm a fan of Moment's Tahoe for this kind of ski but I don't think its everyone's cup of tea, definitely something to demo first. More rocker than you're looking for but I thought the triple camber gripped fine for my needs on hardpack.

A praxis 9d would probably be prime for what you listed

If you go the on3p route, the wren 102 is the ski you want to be looking at, great at speed in chop and holds an edge well, still lively enough that I wouldn't be concerned about spending all day in the trees with them.

I haven't been on them, but the blizzard regulator looks like a fun ski

Just got Line Supernatural 92, they are perfect. I have the same set up as you a pair of powder and park skis and then I just got these to fill the gap and it works perfect.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am a little biased to buy K2, Line, and Armada as I've had a lot of good experiences with them in the future, but I'm not completely against trying a new company. I was looking at the supernaturals, do you think they have too much rocker? Honestly not a huge fan of rocker when there's not fresh snow, also how's the flex? Are they super stiff, i know it says medium-stiff, but are they still playful?

May be a little fat, but my dad, brother and I all love Volkl Gotomas.

If you have a few other pairs of skis in your quiver...I would recommend a serious east coast carving ski. They will be narrower than 80 probably or close to it. Its worth it for a dedicated ski.

I have Nordica Mach 3 Superchargers...things absolutely rip. I can lay down trenches on solid ice. Amazing ski.

Would recommend you look into a true carver not a twin tip...you will never find the same performance from a twin tip.

Look for Volkl Mantras before they added rocker-camber-rocker. I have seen people absolutely rip on those and everybody I have talked to in the east has loved them. Pretty sure it was either last year or the year before that they changed the shape and added rocker

Pretty much by definition, any ski that rips turns on groomers will also charge.

Brahma, Kendo, Experience 88, X-drive 8.8, Supernatural, Monster 88, Ranger 90, or the FX 85 if budget isn't a concern.

Vantage 90 and nrgy 90 are both worth a look if you want something not quite as stiff/a little more user friendly.

These are the kinds of skis you should be looking at. You don't need a dedicated frontside carver to be happy with groomer performance, and a more freeride, all mountain oriented ski will, obviously, be more fun on anything not groomed. I have friends who are ex-racers who ski these types of skis (one on the Brahma, one on the Kendo) and they say they're just as happy skiing them on groomed trails as they are dedicated race skis. One of them is even selling his gs ski because he would never choose it over the Brahma because the Brahma is more versatile, and is just as much fun on groomers.

But all of these skis have rocker. It's pretty much impossible to find a ski that doesn't have rocker in it these days. Most of them have rocker lines that are pretty subtle, starting pretty deep in the tip, but without much splay.

Personally, I like the amount of rocker and stiffness. They are the best when the conditions are packed powder but are great for groomed trails too. Still able to get some deep carves in while having fun with the rocker.
