This is borderline gear talk but I thought it might do better on here so where can I get cheap skis? I'm tired of paying a shit Ton of money for skis. Anyone know of any good websites for cheap skis/boots/bindings +k

what is your definition of a shit ton? I always bought used skis growing up, I didn't care about the latest and greatest and people always sell used stuff for a huge discount. Or go work in the industry at a resort or a shop to get pro forms

idk I just don't like spending $500 to get a pair of shitty skis. I look for previous years models but they're sold out all over the olace

look for previous years of the ski you want on Evo or other websites like that. Also blizzards usually aren't too expensive(at least compared to other skis)

You just have to look around a lot, take your time and jump on a deal when you see one. Most ski towns have consignment stores and are good places to find good condition used skis. I bought new 1 year old fisher big stix for $250 (reg.$900). Go for small companies. Got my High Society Unseen for $275. Follow pros/companies on instagram. I got a promo code from Matt Walker for my Unseens. Bindings are harder to find cheap but a least they don't break as easily as skis do.

Also, get a job in the industry. working at a ski shop you will have access to proforms, which are awesome...

Never. Picked them up as a cheap ski but never got to them. I know someone who has a pair and he likes his but I'm more of a rockered ski kinda guy

I have never bought a pair of skis over 50% over their original price. You just need to look everywhere, ebay usually has great deals, Kitten Factory has an end of the season sale where all of their skis are 50% off.

Sorry for the double post...if you can wait it out buy in the middle of the summer.

Thats when I get all my new gear. Got surface outsiders for $175, high performance 130 flex nordica boots for $175, bindings for $160, new jacket, pants, gloves.

June-July online sales are through the roof on the past couple season's gear

2nd hand for life. Why the hell would you spend 700 bucks on a brand new pair of skis that your gonna ride onto peices of metal and jump onto rocks or whatever. unless you can aforrd it of course. even though i can i prefer to save the money. anyways I got a pair of head The caddys and pair of pretty decent park bindings for 370. They were mint to only 10 days on the hill. ( is what he told me)
