THEDIRTYBUBBLEIts the top sheet. Purely cosmeticTrue the scratches come out with wax usually but the its so easy to dent the side and almost un avoidable
ttelrabi have volkl walls and rode them all last year and so far this year, they have zero edge cracks or pullouts, no delam and only topsheet chipping. super durable no matter if you like volkl or not
powderwhorThe ledges are a different story though. The walls are a pro model at the top of their lineup and they can't afford to have them fall apart. The ledges are cheaper for a reason. I've seen many volkls fall apart though. They changed manufacturing plants a few years back and they've never been the same durability wise. My boy Jaxin rides for them and went through 4 pairs over the last year... But he rides em pretty hard haha
StuckWithOHI've got Volkl 2015 ledges and I have noticed that despite decent performance, they are not very durable. Its super easy to chip the top sheet and get scratches on the base. Anyone else have this issue?
freeski1620This. ledge is a full cap price point ski and should not be expected to be on the same level durability wise as the high end, full sidewall park skis in Volkl's line.
Moving production to china definitely changed a few things. Word on the street is that many of those problems should be fixed for next year
