Should I call out Costco?

Yo. So last Saturday I went in to my local Costco to see if they had an item and they didn't. Checked with the associate there and they said they only had it online. They said if I ordered it, it would arrive in 2-4 business days. So I'm thinking "I order on a Saturday and since it won't go out until Monday, it'll be here at soonest Tuesday and at latest Thursday". That's all cool with me. Anyway I'm getting the updates for the shipping and the estimated delivery isn't supposed to be til next week. I calculated it and that's like 7 business days. Costco is usually pretty good, bud I gotta say I'm a little disappointed.

So, should I give them a call and see what they can do? Or should I just let it slide? I mean I paid a pretty good amount for this item and for it to come twice as late as expected I'm a little angry.

Also when I track it it's taking forever for them to move it. One day it's in Georgia, the next it's in Nashville, then it went to Chicago. It seems they're moving it state by state.

Anyway NS what should I do?

Chances are Costco can't control the speed of their shipping carrier and therefore it's not their fault, but they're a super super legit company so if you bring it up they will probably help you out in some way or another.

Yeah I forgot to mention its UPS and I never have good luck with UPS for the most part.

Well like, you can chose how fast it gets there. I mean they have like overnight, 2 day shipping, etc. Costco can totally control that. If they say 2-4 business days my guess is they upgrade the shipping to 2 or 3 days. If they say 2-4 days and then send it as the standard 7-10 day shipping then that is 100% on them.

If you/they did pay for faster shipping then that is through the shipping company and you should be reimbursed for it if it's way over time. A day or two is no big deal but if it's a week later than you expected then thats stupid.

OP, likely the the shipping company (UPS) fucked up in some way, but yeah if you raised hell with Costco, they'd probably fold and take the heat for it. Maybe would discount whatever item you bought (we all know it was a dildo), but unless you needed it quickly, its probably not worth your time.

Did you pay for standard shipping or pay more for a non-standard get it here faster shipping? If you paid extra for faster shipping I'd say something to at least get your money back on the shipping.

ya its not costco's fault completely. UPS always takes a little longer that expected. at least in my case.

I don't recall upgrading, I didn't choose overnight or 2 day I probably chose standard but when the website and the store clerk tell me 2-4 business days that's what I expect.

UPS probably doesn't guarantee their shipping times, and it probably says something like that in fine print on the Costco checkout page. Not worth your time dude, at all. Unless you're going to drop dead because this thing hasn't arrived within the 4 business days, I'd just wait it out

It's hard to believe how immediately everyone expects things. If you didn't pay for express shipping then expect it to take 5 - 10 business days. Like you said, good idea to just be patient.

And what's your definition of "regular time"? Haha I'm being patient and it's supposed to come day but I mean it's been over a week and that's not 2-4 business days haha

Almost made it inside a costco once, I was 7 years old, I could see all the beautiful samples and amazing deals, right before I got tackled by the security guard I could smell the krispy kream doughnuts.
