im dead serious. i feel so low rn. i quit track and basketball to do what i love. and that love was taken from me by a stupid down rail and an icy slope.

went to doctor today and it turns out they are both wrist injuries. I guess i broke one without knowing a while ago so i have a full arm cast. my right wrist i fractured my radius where the joint connects. I just have a removable cast for that one.

I hear ya man, I quit hockey so I could ski more and ended up breaking my collar bone a few days ago. Life may suck sometimes but when ur all healed up you'll go back even stronger than before. Good luck.

My father told me in cant ski park unless i pay the medical bills. My sister does gymnastics and has had 6 surgeries inclu acl and mcl. he says its cause skiing isnt a "legit sport". Advice? Downhill skiing on a 250 vertical is awful.

#1 - Point out the fact that Slopestyle is the hottest new Olympic sport on the block. Sure, here on NS we like to say "Fuck FIS" and I'm a proud non-supporter of the Olympics... but when talking to parents that don't get it its perfect. Cite how if you keep it up, maybe one day you could be part of the next USA Olympic Podium Sweep. That is an ESPN link - focus mainly on the Olympic aspect of things... don't mention its actually cool too if you're into the real side of this shit.

#2 - If you don't have success with #1, see if he'd be interested in a conversation with a high-ranking person in the media side of skiing. I'd fucking LOVE to field a call from you dad if I can back you up. I'm even a Dad myself, so I can speak adult fluently.

Any way you shake it - chin up bud. You'll be alright.

I have had more injuries in gymnastics than I have from skiing... Gymnastics is 20 times more impact on your body... What happened to you on that rail was just like worst case scenario/fluke.

Just ski park lol. Fuck it, send it. He doesn't have to know.

Also just for next time, never put your arms out to catch your fall. Tuck and roll out of it. I've seen too many broken arms and dislocated shoulders that way. Your hips/torso can take more of a blow than your wrists, arms, shoulders etc.

4. Play Video Games
5. Enjoy food
6. watch moovies, you have plenty of time to become a full blown star wars fan and watch every lord of the rings. Do well in school.
7. Always remember that it could be worse.
8. do what your doc tells you to, and stay in shape. I fucked up that one and it sucks.

Can't play video games because I have 2 casts. ive kept my grades up. I have a 4.3 gpa as a 10th grader. And ik i almost caught my tail and hurt my spine.

I skied into a snowmaking shack switch and broke my femur after rodeo 540. if I hit my head I would have died.

I would definetly recomend movies. whatever your into.

watching the walking dead start to finish will take you a solid month depending on your dedication, and the star wars franchise has 14 hours of historic footy to be viewed.
