Binding adjusted to boot on a center mounted ski

so i got new boots for this season, and the last on my new boots is 10mm shorter than the last on my old boots. i got my bindings adjusted to the new boots, and was wondering, will this 1cm shift in the heel piece throw me off on my center mounted symmetric park skis? should i just remount those, or will it not really be noticeable. i know 1cm isn't a lot of distance, but i realize now im going to be 1cm in front of center

Your boot sole length got 10mm shorter, not the last. Last is the measurement of width over your forefoot. That said, being 1cm in front of center probably wont be too noticeable. I skied a set of dumonts at +1 of center for a season and didnt notice a huge difference other than the fact I couldn't drive the tips as hard when ripping all mtn. Try it out and see what you think. Ski switch like a boss.

whoops. got those two mixed up. yeah, that's what i figured, i ski new york and have another pair for all mountain stuff, so these are mainly used in the park so i shouldn't really have to be carving super hard. we'll see. the only other option is to get them remounted, right?

Same thing happened to me this year and I just had them move the toe pieces back a bit. no need to move the heel piece. At least with Deadbolt 18's or other bindings with some room to adjust in the heel.

My skis were 194 New Life's. Probably wouldn't have made a huge difference, but I'm skiing pow and charging all over with them and wanted them at least centre, not forward biased.

yeah that's true, you really would only need to remount the toe. i'll ski with them once or twice this weekend and see if it really makes that much of a difference to me

Nah I dont get the all discution on this topic its barely noticeable if at all and if it is get used to it. It shouldn't really change your skiing after a run or 2 you are used to it if noticeable.
