So I'm on the East coast and as everyone knows the winter here has been nonexistent recently. But here's the story: I work at a local ski shop chain and we get some hookups with the local mountains. One of which we get a pass for weekdays and all nights. So we pay like $80 and we can ski at this place. Today I got my pass pulled after two laps. You are probably wondering why. I was sitting on my poles while riding the lift.
Is that not the most retarded shit you have ever heard?
I literally sat on my poles for my first ride, like I always do, and the liftie at the bottom was like don't do that. It could tear the cushion on the chair. So like halfway up i put my poles under my legs and I then reach the top and the liftie at the top is like, "what did that guy at the bottom say?" and I said, "ummm dont sit on your poles?" then he was like, "what were you just doing?" I said kinda dumbfounded, "I was sitting on my poles." He was like, "yea so I'm going to pull your pass, you can get it in the office tomorrow."
Like other than the guy at the bottom there was no warning. I was expecting a smack on the wrist like, hey man if i catch you with your poles under your legs I will pull your pass. But nope he went 0-100 real quick and pulled it.
Newschoolers, I am so livid right now I just need to rant. I'm currently sucking up to them so I can get it back. But it has to go through both my employer and the GM of the mountain. So worst case: I lose my pass, and I get fired. Anyways thanks for listening.
