edge repairs

I got 3 inches of edge missing underboot, so except buying other skis is there a way to temporarily fix this? Right now I put some p-tex to seal the ski but thats not so great.

uh maybe take and edge off an old ski, just kinda ply it off and ptex it on to the busted ski, or take it over 2 a shop im sure they could fix it up for a hefty sum

shops can do temporary edges. dont know how much it'll run you though. and i hear they dont hold so well, dont plan on them staying on if you're going to slide more rails.

cut an old edge out of an old ski then hit it in the busted ski with a hammer. once in the busted ski go to the hardware store an get some really small nails like 1/2' nails and nail them in between the teeth of the edge you just hammered in then throw some epoxy in around it and let it dry with a clamp on it then bring it to your local shop an have them stone grind the fuck out of it and you'll be good to go for another 3000 miles. thats what my shop used to do to skis like the salomon xscream..... good luck peace
