Hey ns I'm looking for peoples opinions on skiing with dukes, if the extra weight of the binding really makes a big difference in the handling of the ski compared to a normal binding?
Do you need the touring features of the Dukes? The weight shouldn't make too much of a difference to the handling, but if you're not using them for touring them there is zero benefit.
Ehhhhh, depends on what type of skiing you're doing. Jumps, jmind, natural hits and spins and stuff you definately feel a difference and I honestly hate it. it made my ski feel dead And not lively.
For normal more traditional skiing, where your skis don't usually leave the ground much, it's not that big of a deal. Only thing I could really tell was trying to ski moguls quickly.
Normal more more traditional skiing= not much of a difference
jibbing and spinning = noticeable difference and I hated it
The biggest difference I have noticed is that the ski doesnt flex like it would normally. You have a ridged frame underneath your boots that creates a bit of a dead zone.
