I found that inspiring that the guy did what he love till the very end. I saw them in Montreal in September and now he is dead.

never listened to much motorhead but I have a lot of respect for the guy for influencing so many people and just being a sick dude. found it a little humorous that 3 weeks ago he said in an interview he wanted people to "stop fucking asking me when I'm going to die"

I'm more of a casual listener, but Lemmy was a pretty wild dude. It's worth googling a bit about his exploits if you're bored.

"I want to start out by saying that Motorhead is one of the most overrated musical acts of the last hundred years, right behind The Beatles and Metallica. Furthermore, Motorhead has contributed absolutely nothing to modern culture except for a few prolific outbreaks of British Anal Herpes. They are not a groundbreaking or original act, they are the musical equivalent of generic Cheetos.
You can feign outrage at that statement if you want, but, before you do, name one Motorhead song that isn't "Ace of Spades" without using Google.
Can't do it, can you? But, I bet you can name at least three N'Sync songs.
That's right, Motorhead had less of an impact on music than a boy band.
So now Lemmy Kilmister is dead and everybody's crying "Oh, I loved Lemmy." "Motorhead was such an awesome band." Blah, blah, blah.
Look, Lemmy sang like he had a pulled groin and a punctured lung, he played guitar like a brain damaged chimp and his "rock/rebel" persona was engineered by record company executives. In the long run, his life and death effects nothing but the sale of ridiculous hats and Jagermeister.
So quit you're goddamn crying and maybe you're real dad will come back and finally play a game of catch with you.
See you in hell, Lemmy."
