Best Baselayer

What's up guys, I'm looking for a quality baselayer that will keep me warm and is at the lower end of the price spectrum. I've looked at the Level 1 Mile hi Tall thermal, the armada Contra thermal , and the Patagonia Capilene. Are these good choices, or should i look at something else? Big thanks in advance

Literally anything made by Ridge Merino and you'll be happy.

Ive heard good things about the mile hi thermal. Personally, i have the contra thermal and it is actually pretty thin and i have to wear a crew and an insulated flannel under my jacket to stay warm in 20 ish degree weather. I would try to find a base layer puffy thing from Patagonia because they are super warm and easy to fit under a tall t or hoodie

If you can find merino wool, I find that warmer than synthetic base layers

Merino wool is the best I've tried, I' a huge fan of Mons Royales Stuff. Its not the cheapest but its light and warm and does not get bogged down.

Best base layer and low price are not going to go together. Spend the money, it's worth it. A $100 base layer of any brand (merino wool as we've all been sayings) is going to keep you much warmer than a $100 cotton hoodie.

HellyHanson Warm baselayers are my favorite, (50%merino wool blend). But really anything merino is good. Icebreaker, smartwool, etc. Supernatural runs a lot of cheap wool baselayers on sierra trading post.

go to TJ Maxx/Marshalls. You'll find Nike Pro Combat & Hyperwarm pieces for dirt cheap. They often have Marmot & North Face fleece and puffy mid-layers as well for drastically discounted prices.

Have had hot chili's for years. They hvae lasted me so many years now. Still warm, still fit, still do their job. Wouldn't recommend cheaping out on them.

Check out steep and cheep or the clymb for some deals that pop up
