Can I use this as a waxing iron?

My grandfather recently passed, and I received all of his RC stuff. I found this sealing iron and was curious if I could use it as a waxing iron. Mine recently broke and I need to get a new one, but no reason to spend that $$$ if I don't have to. Thanks guys

Possibly, but temperature control looks nonexistent.
I would just go to Value Village and pick up an old clothes iron.

Yea it's only a dial in the center. Probably will just go buy one.
