Replying to Going through skis like crazy!
I dont know why but I seem to have terrible luck with ski durability. Both my moment vices and on3p FR's have at least 6 edge cracks on them with an edge pullout underfoot on the both of them. Fist off let me say I am in no way bitching at the companies for durability issues. On3p was super cool when i broke my skis right away and they fixed them free of charge. The skis have both been super fun and I have learned a lot on them. Just trying to figure out why I seem to be breaking edges and damaging skis so badly so fast. I have about 60 days on my vices and 30 on my FR's. I did not detune my edges on my FR's and thats why I attribute some of the edge cracks and fast wear. I realize that you can still ski with edge cracks and thats part of the risk you take with skiing park. Here is a little bit about my self.
Im 5'11 and about 190 pounds. Ski strictly park and ski 4-6 times a week. Ski granite peak and have been skiing for 3 years. Best trick on jumps is 540 and best rail trick is either 270 on front 2 out or switch lip front 2. I don't absolutely destroy park but Im not terrible either
I dont know if im just a bigger guy or I ski a lot or i just have bad luck. Either way I have decided to try my luck with some j skis whip its cause i found some for cheap. I love rockered skis and will definitely buy another pair of filthy riches but not his year considering the weather. Btw i have a friend who is just as good as me and weighs about 40 pounds less who has yet to get an edge crack in his armada t halls. What do you guys think? Is it due to bad luck, frequency of skiing or do i just need to hit the gym
