Replying to Tryna meet new peeps

I live in a small town in Rhode Island next to a turf field . Its a small community where everyone knows each other. I have my group of friends but we all want to meet new people . I have an instagram and Facebook and all that but its hard to meet people from other communities unless you have family or friends that know people cause if you just message some random chick on FB then she's gonna think your creepin . Trying to meet people that ski is even harder so just looking for tips or ways to meet people . much appreciated NS
