Replying to Skiiers who don't ski in the Spring are the worst
Im just going to ramble about spring skiing and motherfuckers who don't ski in the spring and shorten my season.
I personally feel that scumbags who lose interest in the sport in March and don't go to their hill at all in April no matter how much snow there is and it being nearly 100% open need to be punished. Maybe make them park in a different lot the following winter and let people who ski through the spring park closer.
I get punished by people like this because nowhere is open midweek other than the super expensive places. There is no reason I should ever have to wait until the weekends to ski when there is enough snow.
Last spring my funds were running a little low and my car was on its last legs and would break at some point in March/April so I shredded Blue Hills inside of Boston 3-4 times a week to end my year bigger hills weren't in the budget I took my Aspen trip in December and maybe found people to drive up the NH/VT with 4-5 times all winter so I needed Blue HIlls to come through and it absolutely did. Fantastic little mountain when you can ski under the lift and in the trees to the right its a fantastic 300 ft vertical drop mountain and would be the envy of most places int he midwest. (This only happens once a decade though.)
Blue HIlls stopped opening on weekdays and eventually closed for the year with snow left. A 1 lift hill located inside the fucking city (a city which happens to be the 5th or 6th largest media market in the USA no less) had to close due to lack of patrons.
If you are on the East coast and you didn't ski multiple times in April last spring you are the reason for this shitty weather and slow start to the season. Fuck you. If you are like me and ski hard through the spring please shame and spit on other skiiers who don't and let them know that they are the reason for the East being off to a slow start with their shitty karma taking a great year like last for granted. Its a good thing my pass will be blacked out next couple days when I get back from Whistler or else I'd get pretty violent over the crappy start to the season.
(Of course there were no shortage of dickheads creating avalanches on Mt Washington in the spring a million shitheads and there mom were not only on Tucks but being baffoons all over Mt Washington but those idiots won't go to the resorts b/c they want to actually use their expensive touring gear at least once or twice a year.)
I know that slushy snow isn't the best but the lovely weather makes up for it and if you are on steeps its always fun as are the bumps. Get high enjoy the fresh air maybe hit the driving range on the way home.
Finally 20 years ago people used to dress appropriately for spring skiing. You used to see lots of dudes with their shirts off and chicks in bikinis. THis no longer exists I don't go that far but I'm almost always the only person in shorts and a t shirt on warm spring days.
OK rant over again fuck you if you didn't shred hard last spring particularly east coasters. Not just an east coast problem though in 2014 when I was last in Tahoe and it was a bad year but a great spring literally NOONE wanted to ski the slushy days with me b/c of the slush. After a lost winter no less. I was doing the fuckin double almost every day skiing and golfing too it was glorious.
