When I was learning front swaps/ front spins off I was told to focus on dropping the heel of my front foot and when I was learning I always did that way too soon and have gotten in the habit of immediately dropping my heel and falling off early.
So now I have that engrained in my head and whenever I get on a rail, I'm so focused on locking in my heel that I don't even turn my front foot all the way. Like my back foot gets 90 but my front foot gets to like 70 and shit.
I have since fixed that by focusing on pressing the inside of my foot into the rail as opposed to my heel. And it keeps that ski flatter and I lock on much much better.
Hopefully this thread can be like us all helping each other out with certain tricks that have been giving us trouble!
