This gives me hope. I remember the whole Ron Jon thing getting hyped up a decade ago and then never happening. Sort of like that Xanuda ski place in Jerz. Fucking hopes and dreams. Nice to see something like this happen.
There's already another company who actually has one in England somewhere, although I think it broke not too soon after they opened. This wave looks better though. The one in England looks like it'd be better for beginners, whereas this looks better if you actually can surf seeing as it barrels and actually has a long wall on it.

I wonder if it only goes right.
I think that one might be closed. Also this is by no means the first wave pool anyway. There are some where you can or at least could surf in the mornings before the amusement parks opened.
I'm interested in the technology though to find out if it's feasible to have more. If there is something under the water scooping the wave as it goes probably not, because if somebody fell and got murdered by it, that would be bad publicity.
Sick for shure. Surf Snowdonia had a sick video as well but this KS wave has a barrel, thats pretty crazy.
I wonder how fast they can make waves after each other. To make enough money to run something like this they need to be able to creaty quite some waves / hour.
If I remember correct from the other video / company there are two waves made at the some time, a left and right hander, created by a big blade / scoop pulled through the water in the middle of the basin.
Around 55 sec in the KS video you can see a lot of rough water in after the wave, multiple waves after each other looks like a no go..
Also interested if they can make different shapes of waves, some better for beginners etc.
This wave pool is tight as fuck. I haven't surfed a day in my life, but I have always wanted to. I think if I was going to start that wave pool would be a great place to learn.
surfing is already aerials. go watch a John John Florence or Jack Freestone video, they're some of the best out there.
it'd be fucking sick if the made the foil reversible so you could ride north to south, then ride back south to north instead of having to take a jet ski back
