What's up you guys,
My name's Isak Gaines, I'm a saxophone player and composer from Seattle originally. A year and a half ago, I made the call to move to New York to study at The New School (ironic right?), unfortunately having to choose between my two main passions - music and skiing. Obviously I still try to ski on breaks and stuff, but last year I got 3 days in, coming from the previous two seasons of 35+ days each. So that's a bummer, but it's given me a chance to really dive into the music scene here and explore as many different styles and genres as I can, and I'm excited to say that I recently finished recording my first album of all original music with my group (2 tenor saxophones, a trumpet, 2 keyboardists, guitar, bass, drums), which will be fully available on January 9th. But I wanted to give you guys a sneak preview of a few of the tracks and I'd love to hear feedback/what you like and didn't like about it. And if you're interested in the full album once it's out, just let me know and I'll send you a download link!
Thanks,
Isak
