its cause racers put their day pass on their helmet cause they cant put it on their skin tight race suit...

It depends what you ski. They help in more difficult terrain by initiating your turn and help get your weight forward, down the fall line.

Easily. The main problem with your poll is that the selections arent diverse enough to really properly survey ns, and i think that skews the results. I made a poll with a variety of choices that i think will accommodate all skiers here.

1. I don't use poles...
2. My pass goes around my leg...
3. Okay I wear mittens...probably the only one that applies
4. Again I don't use poles so this question doesn't apply...
5. I train by skating...don't have trampoline...

So apparently the only thing that defines you is whether or not you wear mittens
