An honest discussion of the doctrine of Islam is not bigotry, and it certainly is not racism. Islam is not a race, it's a set of ideas about how we ought to live our lives. And like any other set of ideas, it can be called out for what it is- a doctrine with violence & death at its very core. That is not a statement of bigotry, it is a statement of fact.

For most Muslims, there is no separation between Islam and Sharia. I challenge you to prove otherwise. Show me anything that states that Muslims widely reject Sharia. Sharia is the root cause of Islamic terrorism. Sharia, in its "purest" form, is the law system of ISIS.

While me may disagree on economic policy, I respect you for agreeing with me here. You also have the patience of a saint (especially when trying to communicate with SJW).

We can and should criticize the ideas behind Islam, openly and viciously. Islam promotes evil ideas, and that evil must be brought to light. However, this will also shine light on the "connective-tissue" (as Bill Maher calls it) between "moderate" Muslims and the extremists.

I would use the word "strict" instead of "severe". Severe implies that it is an extreme or narrow view, when instead they take the literal word as it is said in the text. It is also important to note that some of the most Islamic states refused this poll to be taken in their countries. The overall percentage of support for Sharia Law would most likely be higher if countries like Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Yemen allowed the poll.

An interesting study, and I'd like to thank you for sharing it. However, I would say it mostly confirms what I have said. There is also key data missing, like the opinions of Muslims in Europe (although I doubt they'd differ much from the poll taken in Russia) and also, as onenerdykid has pointed out, no data on several middle eastern nations.

The study is also interesting in the data collected about Sharia being the divine word of allah. If such is the case, then there is no possible separation between Sharia and Islam, which should prove how retrograde and dangerous this religion truly is.

Onenerdykid has also pointed out how the basis of Sharia law is the law system created by Mohammad, considered the perfect example that Muslims must follow. While Christians believe in being like Christ, Muslims too believe that they should be like Muhammad. Muhammad was a bloodthirsty warlord, who used violence to achieve his goals, carried out genocide against Jews and other non-believers, encouraged his men to enslave and rape infidel women, and raped his 9-year old child "wife", Aisha (if we are to believe Islamic scripture).

And then we wonder where Muslims get all these wonderful ideas? We cannot make apologies for their religion anymore. Islam either has to be reformed, subdued, or destroyed.

Many police are now saying that a significant number of the people involved in the sexual assaults were recent arrivals to Germany, but of course they've been reprimanded by the higher ups for saying this, I'll see if I can locate the source again (it's tough since I don't speak German and most are in German).
