Dudes an animal. Before going in, I thought there would be some triples and a park shoot but having watched it, I really loved his approach to skiing with the spins in/out of pillow lines and using huge tree jibs/the ski jump rather than just making the 40 minute compilation of awesome tricks but on standard BC/park jumps which most non-urban films seem to be becoming. So yeah....its fucking sick

I absolutely loved it. To me, he might be the best all-around skier in the world. I would not call that necessarily the best skier, as that is something slightly different, I value big mountain very heavily in that equation and I pick Sage or Candide as the best for that reason, but he is destroying backcountry, and he can really ski AK too. When you factor in his xgames medals, the way he is killing it n AK, including spinning tricks in crazy spots, and killing backccountry kickers and pillows I can't think of anyone who is as dominant in more phases of skiing. Maybe Candide, but most of his park stuff is in the past. Right now I would put Candide (or maybe Tanner Hall) as the Travis Rice of skiing, but Sammy is starting to be in that category. I think CR Johnson would have been in that category too if he had not gotten hurt and then passed away, but sadly we will never know. I guess it should not surprise me that he skis so well, as Oregon has a bit of steep terrain and he could ski all year, but not every park guy adjusts to big terrain the way Sammy has. Color me impressed. Anyone who likes backcountry and big mountain skiing with tricks in natural terrain will love this movie. In fact I think everyone on this site should watch it. If someone can't recognize that this is amazing skiing I don't know what to say.
