ive got last years 161's. their nice i like em alot. but yeah they do get soft after a while. wat are you going to be doin all mountain, park, backcountry?

i had the 161s last year and after 4 or 5 trips the tip started to split, then salomon appoxied them up, and sent them back it took 1 day till the split again, finally they gave me a new pair, and i sold them

look on ebay for the 01'02 model i think they are the other day i saw some on the in 169 like new and cheap plus they have a foam core

I have last year's model in a 151cm. It really skis quite awesome. I still use them almost every day. The only problem is that they do soften up some after use. So for groomers they are great, but on ice they can loose an edge at high speed.
