I am in a pickle

Info: I am 5'9 and 130lbs and an aggressive skier, no race background but like going as fast as I can down mougaly and cliffy trerrian (like a lifeline). I also like skiing woods.

I am currently skiing a 2016 172 Line Supernatural 100. I like it, however I bought it to charge with and I find I can't go as fast as stable as I would like to. But I do like how I can shut things down at anytime. Anyway I want to buy a replace my for them. Contenders: 173 or 180 Bonefide, 171, 178, Blizzard Cochise or 177 Nordica Enforcer. I fear the 173 bonefides will be big enough to run over things but the 180s I won't be able to turn in the woods. I don't really want to go smaller with the 171 Cochises but the 178 is a lot of ski, too much to be manurable in woods. The 177 Enforcers dont seem mixh stiffer than the supernaturals, but they are longer so I don't know.

Help me out here, NS always comes in clutch for me.

Also if anyone has skied any or all of the skis I listed of you can compare/contrast them or just give me their experiences with them.

supernaturals are a pretty stable ski... are you sure you are skiing with proper form because everything can get unstable when you are in the back seat.

if they really are too soft, the bonafide is a good choice. but if you are looking longer look at the armada invictus 108 ti or the fischer ranger 108 ti. as the cochise is honestly way to much ski for someone your size with no race background

I feel like Fischer Nightsticks may fit what you are looking for. From the things I have heard, they are very stable and very capable chargers. Also very affordable compared to others.

177-180 is the sweet spot for you. the amount of rocker and the minimal camber will allow you to throw those around with ease.

I agree with that the cochise is too much ski. But Bonefide in 173? I may be leaning that way. But my heart still wants the cochise 171.

And yes I do get caught back seat every once in a while but not that often. I have been having problems when I am going fast down steeper trails with slush bumps. In the east we have had warm weather so speifically at Jay Peak all thats open is a steep main trail with small slushy mougals. I am trying to take long GS style fast turns down it and my skis are chattering and getting bucked by the bumps when I am trying bust through them

If you go with the cochise in a shorter length, you would be perfectly fine! Their rocker pattern makes them forgiving and very stable at the same time once you find the sweet spot on them. I have two buddies that were advanced intermediate skiers that went with the 185cm cochise and while it was tough at first, it became very confidence inspiring. Ive always felt that you should buy something to grow into. Better to buy once and cry once.

i'm just under 5 foot 9 and i ski on 184 4frnt devastators

from what it sounds like, i think the devastators would be a really awesome ski for you, they like to go fast and charge and they are SUPER stable. you can easily maneuver them through trees too because they're full rocker and with 4frnt's reflect tech, they go from edge to edge really quickly. the only minor downside is that they're kinda heavy but not really.
