Slytech back protector

It the back protector a huge pain to wear? I'm thinking about getting one but I don't want to wear something super uncomfortable all day. I am worried about my back though so I am interested in one.

you really dont notice them when you are riding. especially slytech its like a giant piece of foam on your back

wtf does a back protector even do? i could understand hip pads and a helmet obviously but this whole spine protector fad seems dumb to me

Ive never worn one but i work at a shop that sells them, from my brief test wearing of one id say they are pretty comfy and not too movement inhibiting. They're made of this weird foam that if you push slowly on is soft but if struck is hard (kinda like corn starch and water) so they're quite flexible even though they go hard on impact.
