The Perfect DSLR?

Im looking to get a new DSLR for pictures and video, but more so video. Heres what I'm looking for:
1080p
Over 60 fps
Splash proof (not necessary)
Under $700

I have experience with both Canon and Nikon, and I'm on a very tight budget. If anybody knows any DSLR with these specs or something close please help a homie out. eheath I'm looking at you.

Good luck. Almost no cameras in that range will do 60fps at 1080p. Also if you still need glass (which I'm assuming you do) you really aren't gonna find anything great at that budget

nikon d5500 would probably be good it can shoot 1080p/60fps and costs less than 700

I would suggest a panasonic gh3, it fits all of your requirements, and only costs 500 new on b&h, also you will have money left over to get glass or a stabilizer or something.

gh3's do it for $500 and less haha. and they're plenty great. (watch eheaths/matt ballards) edits.

they don't do over 60fps though...

What he said. GH3 would probably be your best bet for this although it's hard to find them for less than $600. For a lens though you're going to have to go higher than $700. Good Luck OP.

you're wrong dude, maybe in canadian dollars but GH3's sell for $497 Brand new in box US version from stores all the time (I've seen B&H do this deal at least once every two weeks)

idk about that either haha, every camera has it's quirks!

I will agree that it's probably the best video dslr out there right now haha.

Personally, I'm waiting till 4k 60fps is standard in cameras to upgrade

I guess I mean as close to perfect as can be, cuz it fixed the "quirks" of the A7S which was already the best, or one of the best if you prefer the GH4

I guess people have different definitions of "shit", I haven't had any battery issues with my A7S, its been significantly better than the t2i I upgraded from

OP, you described a GH3, theyre mega cheap and adapt well to any glass.

*not a dslr, but that doesnt matter, at all. Mirrorless is better for video anyways IMO.

there should honestly be a sticky thread telling everyone to get a gh3, for the price what you get is just absurd, this video has no color grade except for a gradient
