Where does your foot sit in your boots

Where does your foot sit? Are your toes tight against the end of the boot or do they fit perfectly? How do you size your boots, half a size down, half a size up?

I wear a 9 boot, normally a 13, or sometimes a 12 in street shoe. Half finger shell fit, intuitions, custom foot beds and some grinding. They fit like a tight virgins lips around my dong.

I wear size 14 street shoes and 30.5 boots. My toes touch the end of the boot when I stand straight up but they pull slightly away from the end of the boot when I flex. I think it's the perfect fit.

usually with my toes at the front and heel at the back, but sometimes i feel adventurous and switch it up a bit

go to a boot fitter. there is more to selecting a boot than picking the right size. just because a 26.5 lange fits you, doesnt mean a 26.5 dalbello is going to fit you. if you want a boot that fits really well your going to need to spend some time doing custom work to them.


my street shoes are 9-10, and my boots are 25.5s, which would be like a size 7. also half size boots dont really mean anything. ie 25 and 25.5s have the same shells, just different liners.


once you can get your boots set up so they are as tight as possible without cutting off circulation, its a great feeling. so much more control that way.

my longest toes touch the end when standing up straight, they pull back when flexed.

depends on the brand and model. shell check is the way to go, so see a boot fitter!

damn son I wear a 9 street shoe and a 25.5 them boots is probaly SNUG

Go to a boot fitter at your local ski shop!! i wear a size 9.5 street shoe and a mondopoint of 26.5 toes are up in there pretty snug.

Yea different brands, and different style liners will effect this greatly.

Side note: How big do you guys wear your "street shoes"? I wear a snug size 8 Vans (8.5/ 9 other), and i just dropped from my comfy/ roomy 25.5 dalbellos to a 24.5 Salomon Ghost, and these boots are rough to say the least. if its below 0* (34*?) They is no physical way to get my foot into the damn things.

Protip: go to a bootfitter, Find something that fits, and that youre happy with. Deals are cool, but dont cheap out on your boots.

I wear all my shoes pretty fitted. I cant stand a sloppy shoe when Im running or hiking, just asking for blisters. Tight is right.
