ISO pow skis! I'm skiing Kicking horse on Sunday 12/13 and Revelstoke on 12/14. The plan is to fly to calgary with only carry-ons and rent skis up there... not ideal, so please help me out or advise.
Does anyone have fat skis (110mm+) that I could rent/borrow for a day at either location? Meet at the base before the lifts open. You will be compensated and I can even drop your skis at a shop for a tune if I cause any dings. And I'll leave something as collateral like my id or whatever and def not screw you over in any way I promise.
If that doesn't work-- Any suggestions or deals for rental skis for 5 people at shops? Any of you work at shops at KH or Rery, or know other peeps who do?
I'll be with my best friend Wes and my dad and a few of his few older friends, but Wes and I would love to ride a few laps with ns'ers and make friends. Maybe an afternoon piff n pow lap when the old guys are done. Anyone want to meet up and show me around? Beers on me! Like literally from my ski jacket to your hand on the lift, or pitchers at apres.
Not sure if this is allowed on this site, but I'm also looking out and would love to avoid a hey mister situation while I'm with my dad and friends. I know this should be easy in canada but I'm asking you all anyway. COme on newschoolers pls deliver! Thanks and think snow, John
