FKS Dildo Separating

That plastic cover is held on by a small pin in both of the pairs of FKS I own. Perhaps those don't have them, or they aren't inserted, or there's a plastic snap that holds the covers on.

I don't know if I'd trust the springs in those bindings, just saying. Have to be like 20 something years old now.

+K to all...and by a pin do you mean the tiny small hole on the shaft of the heel?

I'm pretty sure that's the one he's talking about. A small roll pin should go in there.
How big are you? I'm pretty sure the FKJ was a junior race binding back in the day.

Oh, as for it being an old binding, yeah, it is. But if it releases within spec, I think it should be fine as long as the plastic is in good shape(not worn or discolored). I have a bunch of bindings in my hoard that are about 20 years old.

Shops will not test those bindings since they are no longer on the approved list so unless you have the necessary testing equipment you wont be able to tell if they are releasing properly. I would not ride those. Its better to go and get yourself some new bindings rather than use those and end up injured.

FKJ Pro is actually still on the list... probably shouldn't be, but a shop is allowed to work on them if they wish


And yeah I have seen it, what I would do is crank the dins full, with the binding in the relaxed position(dildos down), then try popping the yellow cover back on, on any FKS/FKX/FKJ that isn't pinned, if you back the din off(lower) it will eventually start to pull the cover away from the main assembly.
