Had this been a few years back this thread would have been deleted immediately due to Ninth owing and refusing to pay money to NS for advertising. Guess thats water under the bridge these days.

I used to know all the Ninthward guys and I heard that one of the reasons they died was becasue they ran some ads on ns and never paid their bill.. and every time some one posted anything about Ninthward in the forums.. they would delete the post... Now I know doug and og Matt harvey know what im talking about.. Ninthward skis were so sick.. Edollo had a pro model on Ninthward way before he was on Armada...
No doubt they got a bad rep, we all know that by now and if you don't youre a 12 year old that probably doesn't know who the Peters brothers are, or Mick D, or that crazy mother Tucker Travis that used to go huge back in the off trail movies. But you've seen the Gilla edits and you've seen the thugged out image they broadcast. Truth be told the reason Everyone hates is some ns banding together bs from years ago. Us they didn't pay their bill but NS response to delete every post was bs. I couldn't even sell my old skis at one point because of that nonsense. The skis have always been quality and if they approach this right they have a legit chance at a new start. I bought the b murdah they produced last year on a limited run and can't wait to ride them. I've owned 8 pairs of 9s and ridden nearly every brand on the market. I check ebay all the time for used 9s and l always choose nines even if I have to buy them retail. They are simply a fun ski that holds up and rides well all over the mountain especially in the park. Haters will hate, because they follow a ideology set back in like 07 about a company founded by young kids who liked to have a good time. It would be like the hood crew coming out with skis. But now that they're coming back swinging I think they will surprise a lot of people, demo if u can, ride a friend's pair, help bring back a sick company, support the resurrection! Because they've kept it going this long despite some bumps in the road, and I don't see them going away anytime soon. LONG LIVE THE 9! SCREW THE HATERS!
and as far as a new name, the name came from the Ninth Ward in New Orleans where one of the founders grew up. I've been there. I taught there. I felt the community down there. The Ninth Ward was nearly destroyed forever after Katrina but they rebuilt, they stayed. People from the 9 don't lay down, they keep on keeping on. A name like that means something, it's not just a cool name they came up with, it has a history.

there shit skis and a shit company, left me hanging when they promised me a warranty and a brand new set, straight sleeze bags work there, never stuck to their word and was so rude, would never recommend, skis fell apart in like 3 days

Uhhh, a lot of park skis are mediocre.. But there are for sure a few park skis made well and are way above mediocre.
I'm trying to get at a different point. Some break their 9s on the first day, some (like me) still use them 7 years later. Some people break their ON3Ps on the first day, some people still use them years later.

Didn't they have huge problems with warranty's and customer service type problems? Personally would never buy them. A company that died off for a reason...they need to change their image if they want to make any sort of a comeback. If I ran the company I would change the name and develop a new image.

All previous bad blood between our two companies is water under the bridge. Campbell and I are 100% straight with each other, and I believe there is a fully new team in charge of it this go around.
I'm actually kind of excited to see this comeback. I always loved the image/product and I think its a great brand which fits a certain niche.

They make quality skis, you've never skied them, you are basing everything you know about a company from forum rants. To call me a retard is to call the kettle black. And the term is product loyalist dipstick, I don't even know who skis on their team anymore, I just know their skis are fun as he'll and every pair I've owned has outlasted any pair my friends have skied by a competitive company. There are plenty of other good ski companies as well I just fux with the 9 because I have yet to ski a more playful quality ski that suites my riding style. Keep trolling kid, and try a pair some time and I'm sure you'll be quite surprised.

I've ridden three pairs of ninthward skis and broken all of them. That being said the Le comte was my favorite ski I've ever ridden. At the right price I would happily buy a pair

They're 90 mm underfoot and have a little early rise in the tip and tail.
