YoungDaphAlrighty then. Please, in all your infinite wisdom, enlighten me as to a ski town where the housing situation isnt straight fucked. Cause based on my own experiences and talking to other people in ski towns all over the US, its damn near impossible to find halfway decent housing thats affordable
Anywhere that isn't situated at the base of a mega resort. Pretty much every ski town in the Kootenays for example is very affordable. I've never paid more than $400/month and I've lived in some very nice places in 5 different ski towns around BC.
Hell, even Whistler can be just as, if not more affordable as living in Vancouver, but I admit that Whistler ain't cheep.
If you're idea of an acceptable ski town has to be something high end (summit county, Jackson, Aspen, etc) than of obviously it's going to be expensive to live there. With no knowledge of actual prices for accommodation I'll go out on a limb and say that places like Bozeman (not exactly a ski town, but whatever), Crested Butte, Silverton, Kalispell/Whitefish, Sandpoint, and many others are affordable. Hell, SLC is probably more affordable than many other urban centres in the country and its got fantastic skiing right on its doorstep.
