Ski edge pulling out

about half an inch of my ski edge is starting to pull out underfoot. should i just grind it off fill the space with epoxy to prevent water damage. not expecting the skis to last a super long time but anything to keep em afloat will help. what do you guys think

not gonna take out the base to fix this edge, just want to prolong the life of the ski a little more. Thanks for the response though i have already seen that article and it looks like a great idea

I've done that before without needing to remove the base material. You just need to straighten the edge, clear out any loose fiberglass, put epoxy in and clamp the edge in. You should avoid removing edge as long as possible.
