It could be pretty decent. I've heard that the DJI cameras are good for what they are, not sure about the files it records in (for color grading, etc.). Obviously one of the drawbacks would be the lack of interchangeable lenses. Might not be an issue for you. Also, the accessories are going to add a considerable amount of money if you buy it.
I like the idea and the price isn't terrible. But i'd much rather just get a hero 4 black and one of the gimbal stabilizers. More shooting options without buying a 'tripod' mount for the Osmo. Also not a huge fan of it always being the same focal length
if you get the osmo with the x5 or x5r (raw) cameras you can change lenses. they are both micro 4/3rds. They dont look to be as durable as a gopro or other pov camera and you have to use a phone with the app to control the camera setting so that could be an issue in the snow and having to keep the phones battery charged during the shoot.
