Replying to Obama address on ISIS (Daesh) and domestic related policy
In his evening address, the president outlined and reaffirmed his pre established plan regarding ISIS, of indirect military action (bombing, special ops), with an emphasis on avoiding direct military engagement (major operations of boots on the ground). He also introduced his American led coalition of over 30 countries to combat ISIS. On a more domestic approach, he called eloquently for American values, human decency, and reason to prevail over the increasingly divisive sentiment brought forth by certain politicians and leaders (you know who) and tighter gun regulations. He also called for closer union with the Muslim community, because it must be shown that extremists represent only a minuscule fraction of all muslims. Frankly, I thought it was one of his best addresses ever. He outlined strategies that would heavily undermine ISIS, while not compromising our values and playing right into their hands. I thought that it was a masterpiece. Curious as to what NS thinks of the address and the proposed policies.
