Replying to East Coast All Mountain Ski?!?!
The situation:
I'm looking for a ski that can handle it all: pow, park, trees, groomers, ice, etc. here on the beast coast. This ski will be the only one in my quiver so I really want something playful and buttery enough to jib with, but fat enough and rockered (at least in the tip and tail) to handle some powder (probably 98-108mm). I ski probably about 30% park, 40% glades/pow, and 30% everything else. Also, I'm relatively small at 5'7" and ~150lbs so would really like to stay away from super stiff planks.
After much research, I've found a few contenders. The ON3P Kartel, K2 Shreditor, and Line Blends are standing out but I'm also looking at the Moment PB&J and the J Skis Allplay (and some others I can't really remember right now).
I also came across the old Rossignol Sickles which I have heard are one of the most versatile and underrated skis out there (for a great price too), but the full rocker and 111mm width are a little intimidating to me coming from a 100% camber and 88mm park ski (Surface Doubletime). I think the Sickles would be great as a single quiver ski out West but I'm skeptical about how it will perform on those super-icy days we have in the East.
Am I on the right track even considering the Sickles? Would love any opinion on the skis listed and or new suggestions.
