What makes an edit stand out to you?Is it the tricks, the skill, the style, the filming? Do you like seeing a fish eye a lot? HD video? Great shots? Rails? Jumps? Urban? Food? Bitches? Different country's? Gaper dodging? Fails? Etc........ Let me know what you like to see in an edit!! Comment what you like and or link a edit that stood out to you!

That Simple edit that dropped a couple of days ago has to be one of my favorites. Everything about it was spot on. On the topic, I'm not a huge fan of seeing crashes and fails mixed in, I'm probably in the minority on that one though.

When I can tell that each shot has been thought through and when the "feel" of the edit is resembled in the skiing, music and editing. I don't like edits that are only follow cams and have a "look at my bag of tricks" kind of feel. Either you tell a story or you don't make an edit at all.

It's a combination of everything, you can have great skiing but a shitty edit. You can also have not so great skiing, but a great edit. It all has to do with the cinematic qualities and camera angles all combined with a good song. There isn't one thing that makes an edit so special, that's why you don't come across really great ones very often. The best edits are the ones that leave you happy, and stoked to ski. If you make an edit that makes someone want to ski, then you've done your job

Everything easy if your talking good edit not just stand out but if you make one factor shitty it kind of trashes the entire edit.

Mediocre skiing can be made great with a song that fits the vibe and editing that amplifies the skiing.

a unique and different style that hasn't been seen before and looks dope. Or like a massive triple

If the music style and the skiers style work well together

Use a fisheye, and get up close. It makes everything you're hitting look bigger which makes it look sicker.

personally i'm not that big a fan of seeing super slow, constant butters for five minutes. On the other hand, im a huge fucking fan of skiing fast, takin it to the gucci plateau and straight bangers
All times are Eastern (-5)
