WTR soles in alpine bindings

I know strictly WTR soles are not supposed to be used in alpine bindings but I am having real trouble finding 5355 toe pieces for my Lange boots. They don't seem to sell them direct even though some of their boots come with them as extras.

Has anyone used WTR soles in bindings like the Griffon?
Has it caused you any problems?

Is not releasing a real risk?

I'm not sure if it officially meets the WTR spec (like the salomon or rossignol bindings, or the lord), but the Griffon has an adjustable front AFD that probably has enough movement to fit a WTR. It definitely doesn't fit full on touring souls though.

Most alpine boot spare parts won't be available online- you'll need to order them through any Lange/Dynastar/Rossi dealer. They are a very common spare part and will 99.99% be available. And when you get them, be sure to change out both toes and heels (not just the toes). The WTR geometry affects the heel as well.
