Cheap Skiing and Lodging in Europe

Hey everyone, I'm visiting Amsterdam soon with my family and I figured that I would try do some skiing in Europe while I was there. The problem is…I don't have much disposable income. I'm trying to plan out the least expensive trip possible, but I have no knowledge of the region.
I guess what I am asking is…where are the cheapest places for skiing and lodging? I won't have a car while I am there either.
Another question that I have…what would be the best way to transport myself from Amsterdam to the mountains?
If anyone has planned out a similar trip, then I would like to hear about your experience. Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot!

Ride the train to Albertville and commute to accommodation in Bourg St. Maurice by bus. Access to Paradiski (Les Arcs, La Plagne) and Ste. Foy Tarantaise from there.
Or take the train to Grenoble and commute to Serre-Che and La Grave. Tons of options there.
Or ride the train to Geneva and shuttle to the Portes du Solei area (Morzine, Torgon, Les Gets). Else ride past Geneva to Martigny and take the shuttle bus to Le Chable with access to Verbier/4 Vallee.
Thank me later.
