** Post below if you're getting out Saturday Dec. 12 (and where!) and hopefully there can be a couple lady gabber meetups out there!
SEATTLE, Wash. (Dec. 1, 2015) – K2 Skis and the K2 Ski Alliance, an organization that helps unite female skiers, is proud to announce the third annual International Women's Ski Day (IWSD). On Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 women from around the world will come together to hit the slopes and celebrate skiing. "Whether ladies are taking a lesson for the first time, hiking through the backcountry or just enjoying the snow with friends, IWSD is a great opportunity to have fun on the snow," said Alyssa Clark, K2 Skis' Marketing Coordinator and Women's Team Manager.
An interactive map hosted on K2's website allows participants to post specific locations of IWSD events anywhere in the world. The site has up-to-date information on everything from ski group meet-ups to après-ski hangouts. In years past, hundreds of IWSD events have occurred on the slopes and at the bars of ski hills across the globe.
Those who are looking to participate, but are lacking ski partners in their area, are encouraged to connect with members of the K2 Ski Alliance via the online, interactive map. Members of the K2 Women's Alliance will be hosting events around the world, including flagship events at Vail, Colorado, Crystal Mountain, Washington and Killington, Vermont.
