Everyone I work with has a favorite stapler. Most of us know our model number by heart and we were joking that we each have a stapler number. My favorite is the classic and sexy Swingline 444.

Nice. In my opinion the Swingline 747 is right up there with the 444. Both have nice metal bodies and the reinforcement up front that prevents torquing and jamming.
Cute, but how well does it actually staple? In my opinion the best stapler models were all designed before my mom. The whale looks like it is lacking the front reinforcement that I think is critical on models like the Swingline 444 and 747.
We had this pump action stapler at work once, you didn't have to put any effort into it just a small push and then wham, it would just glide through fat stacks. It was yellow too so you never lost it, wasn't mine though. Cant remember the name either, the holy grail of staplers in my humble opinion. One day it will return.
i don't know what brand it is, but growing up we had this stapler from the 80s and it was tight. its been stapling effectively until this day. also the same with this pencil sharpener from like...the 80s or 90s...that shit STILL SHARPENS MY PENCIL TO A SMOOTH PERFECT SHARP. it always has...i don't understand how the blades are still working after all these years.
