AnesteeziaSki team but don't wear the tight clothes. Just race in your birthday suit if you have to. Anything but the tight clothes.
Spagett+OP do racing you will get a lot better at skiing from it. And don't worry about the clothes, You will probably look sillier if you are the only kid not wearing a racing suit than you would wearing one. and If your reason for not trying a new type of skiing is the tights don't look cool you are a poser and u don't actually like skiing.
Mattl17I recently got hurt and broke my wrist. I play hockey and hockey tryouts were today. I was unable to tryout for hockey therefore i cant play the rest of the season. My school ski (racing) coach offered me a spot on the team but its only racing. I can just go up and ski park he said but i still must compete in at least half of the scheduled events. I have never raced, never really had the desire to race but i see it as another way to ski before the weekend. Should i join ski team or should i stay with hockey and just wear a suit to every game and watch. Also if i do end up doing ski team i just bought a new pair of twin tips could i race with those? All help is appreciated.
PeppermillRenoWhats wrong with you?
Clearly you can't turn for shit and the racers are 10x better than you as all around skiiers if you have this lame ass fuckin attitude. If I was the coach I'd tell you to fuck off even though ski team coaches always let 70-80% of the team who suck fuck around and have fun and do whatever the hell they want I'd just find that attitude insulting like your the one doing them a favor.
I switched from hockey as a junior. I had some friends on the team who actually raced prior years that we sucked but after I joined and some freshmen came in they weren't good enough. I could have hung out with them and crushed beers and smoked weed in the parking lot between runs but I chose to not partake that much and raced and wanted to get good. It was tight I made states both years individually and so did the team and became a legit ass skiier.
BROLFWhat was that for? Kid seems to have a good attitude and is willing to give it a try.
plyswthsqrrlsStick with your hockey team. Show up to every game, be a part of the squad. Unless it's your senior year, you still have lots of hockey left. Teammates and coaches will be appreciative, shows you're still a part of the team.
Shit like that is how you earn yourself a letter, OP. Just my opinion though
