Torn on what skis to get

im looking to get new skis this season and im torn between the armada el rey and volkl wall. im looking for a light ski, but also one designed specifically for park. the wall seems more park oriented , but also heavier. i have salomon bindings and technica boots. im hoping to get mistys, frontflips, and 7s this season. im pretty good at rails as well (2s on and off, switchup…) any help is appreciated. i'll be going 70+ days this season.

Walls will be more durable. Volkl makes a good ski. They have never failed me yet.

The el rey is a intermediate/beginner park ski, while the Wall is like a race ski with twin tips. The wall is going to be stiff, responsive, durable, and fast. The El Rey will be have a medium/soft flex and be more maneuverable. If you want an in between I would look at the Armada Ar7, which are armada's top of the line, full camber, all park all day. They are very durable, on the medium flex side and from what I hear are great skis.

The armadas will not last you a 70 plus day season their quality has been going downhill

I have the walls from a few years back, and they are no doubt great skis. durable and hold up well all over the mountain. No, they're not super flexy and they have a pretty standard shape but if you want a reliable cambered park ski they're one of the best

Let's clear some things up.

The El rey is not medium soft. It is very stiff. It's basically a beefier version of the Ar7.

The Volkl wall is very stiff as well. It is also way lighter than the El rey.

I'm gonna have to disagree, even armada says that the ar7 is stiffer and and you should be able to tell this by the fact that the el rey is a capped sidewall while the ar7 is partial sandwich construction and the ar7 has Kevlar. I'm not saying the el rey isn't a good ski or a noodle but it is not a stiffer or beefier ski

By beefier I meant thicker/heavier (at least this years models are. Having skied both skis, I can tell you that they pretty much have the same flex.

really ive heard the exact opposite, never ridden them though. do you ride rails a lot or no?

Volkl's skis are extremely durable except they don't put anything on the sidewalls to protect them from dings. So as long as you don't ski with you're feet together you're good. The dings that do happen are purely cosmetic.
