eight feet of snow at crested butte....i know that isnt much compared to what kirkwood and heavenly and the rest of the tahoe regions but this is some of the best skiing here in like 10 years....its soooo deep!

kit, im super jealous, it must be wicked sick on the off piste terrain. CB always has light fluffy snow too and 8 ft of it is just plain crazy. Have fun skiing it for a few more days and see ya at CMC

this storm didnt bring any light fluffy shit, this was straight up sierra cement, it was soooo wet and heavy...that's why there was so many slides all over CO...the level here forecasted by the Crested Butte Avalanche Center (http://www.cbavalanchecenter.org/) was extreme a couple days ago, first time ever in the five or six years theyve been around that theyve forecasted it...we had a big slide on Headwall, and one on the frontside too, as well as Red Lady above town itself
