Driving in ski boots?

Me too, and it was a standard. Stalled a million times, you need ankle flexibility haha.

There's an old guy in All.I.Can that drives an old beater truck in ski boots like a badass

Did it once...SO hard. It was only for like 2 minutes. But I drive a manual. Stalled it once. My clutch engagement point is really high so its not like i had to press it all the way down. Won't be doing it again.

Probably harder in a manual but driving an auto with boots is cake.

Totally possible with an auto, but not comfortable at all. You just don't have the same sensitivity as you would with a shoe so its just a weird expierence, i wonder what it is like with a snowboard boot on? Im sure it is pretty much damn near impossible to drive manual with a ski boot though.

I heard it was illegal in NH to drive in ski boots as well as without any shoes. Not sure if this is legit.

Some torn ligaments in my right foot left me in walking boot for a summer a while back. Since then, driving with ski boots is a piece of cake.

I move my car with boots on all of the time. One time went to get food during an urban sesh. It's not really that different with an automatic.

Definitely doable but it feels weird AF, when I was a teen and had a manual car I used to drive my car around with my boots on sometimes, it was very, very difficult haha.

meh. sketchy but definitely doable. Did my share of hauling some buddys up loveland pass (~3 minute drive up a slightly sketchy road) in ski boots a couple weeks ago only took about a minute or two before I had everything down to a system. This was in an automatic though I don't know how the fuck some of you have gotten around driving a manual in ski boots

I find myself doing this wayyy to often lately. We run out of snow for the setup at my house and the ice rink is only a 10 minute ride away. My question is can you get a ticket for it if a cop noticed?

I mastered the art of driving the manual in boots. You kind of have to sit sideways to get softer feel and more range of movement and to fit.

I thought it was impossible, I drived home from my friends barn (summer setup was there) and thought it made driving so fun! I don't know how you guys did it with a manual car, but driving an automatic car in ski boots is the best!

Between being tall, having larger boots, and having a cramped footwell in my VW, there is no way I can. In my buddies old F150 I can tho, it has space for miles at the pedals.

Yeah, from parking lot to parking lot. It sucks quite a bit. I drive an automatic and it was still tough.

Done it a bit on parking lots etc, pretty hard to push the clutch in since I have to push it in with my foot sideways but works okay as long as its just moving around in first gear. If you try it on the road you are a moron though, not safe at all if you suddenly need to brake or something.

I don't always drive with boots on but when it's below zero it's super nice to just hop out and get to skiing. Never really had any issues with it.... knock on wood

Yeah legit, I really have to contort to get it started up haha, and try to minimize gear changes. Would not recommend that's for sure.

I worked the rental counter at a rental shop last season and I saw some crap. The amount of times I would run out of the shop to explain to people that if you drive with ski boots you're going to have a BAD time. The one time a group didn't listen to me and I saw them stop dead in the middle of the road after they left the parking lot. DON'T DRIVE WITH SKI BOOTS ON

already said but driving a auto in boots is fucking cake. Did it everyday of the season past 2 years. 35 minutes home after skiing. A manny is totally different

Done it in both snowboard boots and ski boots, its a little easier in snowboard boots because there is more feel and mobility in the ankle, only do it short distances going to get food in town from the hill.

I drove from one handrail to another last night in boots while it was snowing and icy. The fact that boots are less sensitive on the pedals than shoes didn't help. Slippin and slidin round town
