Why do cops have to give them out so frequently? Just curious, i heard that cops have to meet a quota for tickets each month. Anyone know if its true?

ya, they get 'graded' or marked on how many tickets they give out. Or atleast in Super Troopers.

Cop didn't give me a ticket, just a verbal warning even after I did get caught of going 50 in a 30 and tried running away from him.

Pretty sure there is a quota...and I am pretty damn lucky to have never gotten a ticket. (knock on wood) Please don't comment about how shitty of a driver I am, either. I know, I know.

If you get pulled over for speeding, tell the cop you're going to an AA/NA meeting. They usually let you go b/c you're going to a place to 'help yourself.' Works everytime for me.

Over here they do have to meet a quota. ANd it's a really high number. Fuck them bastards. The other day I got a 600 euros fine. Of course, I'm not gonna pay it. And I wasn't even in a car. It was on the moped.

yeah i just got a $250 ticket, for goin 90 in a 65, and it was a bitch woman cop that gave it to me, so she dicked me, it was out of state so im not going to pay it, but does anyone know that when you dont pay it, if they send letters or not, because i really dont want my parents to find out

haha, 150 km/h in a 60 zone is my best, racing of course. I've drove by the cops many times with no seatbelt and doing at least 20 over the speed limit and they never see me. I think I'm invisible.

Good topic. . .Last night my friends and I went out to a bar/club and got pretty loaded. We left at 1:15 or so when they closed down for the night. On the way home our Sober Driver for the night got pulled over doing nothing wronge. He just asked for her info and then said have a good night. She was freaking out, but this happens to us all the time after the bars close. It gets kinda funny actually.

in mass you gotta be doing 85 and driving like a jackass to get pulled over on 95, 93, 128, or 3.

there is a pimp unmarked navy blue escalade that cruises 95 near burlington and will give you a ticket though. the assholes that work routes 2 & 24 like to set-up traps too.

And I wasn't trying to be 'badass' or nothing but I was more of suprised that how telling the truth to the cop can get you soo much further than talking your way out of something like 20 over the speed limit, none the less a 30 zone where 10 will get you a ticket and trying to lose the cop in the boonies.

Meh-my liscence is permanently banned in MA 'cuz I was a bad kid' in college -I just cruise through there at a reasonable 7O, cuz if I get pulled over, meh-the AA thing won't work with them. Too bad that state is between CT and VT and I really don't feel like driving through NY to get to VT.

skiierman^ i live in pennsylvania and my story is not flase, and another occurence last night i was the dd and i got pulled over with 5 other people crammed in my integra who were all hammered. Luckily the one kid new the cops and we got off with nothing. but it was 5 hours past junior license curfew and everyone was drunk so i consider myself very lucky
