Ski Japan

Hey NS! Have many of you guys skied Japan? I've got a wedding in April and was considering going a week early to get some skiing in. Any recommendations on resorts to check out?

At that time of year, go high, or go north. Don't expect pow, but you'd be able to get some skiing done.

Yea, snow in Japan starts to go bad beginning in March. Rain becomes frequent...

If you're going there in April...I would ditch the ski bag, make traveling easier for yourself and make an effort to go see some different parts of the country. The train system in Japan is second to none throughout the country, so take advantage of it and see some of the country. One of my favorite things about traveling around Japan is that each region is incredibly different and unique.

Cheers for the info guys! Looks like I'll be doing some exploring instead, if I'm gonna ski Japan I want to see the pow. Will have to push it off until next year!
