Someone on Instagram said they phoned and that they said this weekend is a no go... Wtf blue is about to open and MSLM has 10x the amount of snow

louis couldn't make snow yesterday when it was cold because the power went out like 3 times. that plus the rain will hold them back a bit.

it's supposed be be 10 degrees Thursday and Friday and the ground isn't frozen so that was a pretty good sign it was gonna be a no go

MSLM got way more snow than us and has been getting colder weather cuz their location in relation to g bay

That makes way more sense. Why the fuck hasn't the ground froze? After Thursday and Friday's warmth it looks like a cold week ahead.

Blue isnt opening this weekend. They said they will mid december.

Its louis or valley :(


Blue has some big piles up at the top but the rest of the runs are green.

All the resorts are struggling to keep the snow they have. I live right at Horseshoe, and run the lifts when open. We had almost 40 inches that we lost during the heavy and warm rains on Thursday and Friday. The snowmaking guns were going all day yesterday. Nothing today. MSLM has been making snow with similar conditions as Horseshoe (as they are less than 10kms apart, but MSLM has better snowmaking abilities. Blue was not making snow on either day from what I can tell. I was in the area on Saturday and didn't see anything going, and the temperatures were around 2-3* yesterday.

Its going to be a long few weeks till the temperatures drop.

Describe decent, I know camp fortune (just out of ottawa) is open on weekends but I think they only have like 1-2 runs.

If you are willing to do 6 sauveur is open in quebec and has 4-5 runs and their mini park set up. I imagine the other hills in that area are also semi-open as well. If you don't care for speeding tickets you could probably get there in 3-4.

I considered driving to Mont Saveur but none of my friends were down to stay for a night and do 2 days of skiing. Not willing to drive for the day sesh this early in.

I think Im doing HV on sunday! What day were you guys planning on going?

about that thought of biking above, the ol kona is still seeing use and its december 22nd and getting warmer, went bombin down a tree run today and the slalom motions almost made it feel like i was skiing for a sec...is this what ski-drought syndrome really feels like? what happened to winter :'(

Was anyone at MSLM today? I've been there a long time ago but someone told me that have the best park in Ontario so i went to check it out. It was pretty rad. I only saw the one Junnkyard park but i heard there are others? Which park do you guys ski more often?

They have the schoolyard, you can get it off of the gentle ben chairlift or sundance, its on the side of gentle ben, made for beginners. Also, the outback, which has bigger features then the junkyard which I'm pretty sure is over on moonstone side, but I don't think they have opened it yet this year.
