Shreditor 102 Alternatives

So, I've been looking at a lot of different skis that I might buy at the end of the season, once shit starts going on sale. Right now the shreditor 102's look like exactly what I want: Fairly flexy, around the 100 width region, almost symmetrical, rockered, and probably somewhere in the $300's at the end of the season. The problem is, with so many other independent ski companies popping up, I would rather support a small company than k2. So, what skis should I check out?

praxis piste jibs are my favourite 100mm park ski. really bomb proof skis, and they fuckin shred. they do end of season sales, could probably get them for around 450-500

Well id say kartels but those are more than $300, if you can get the money get them tho!

Honestly you probably won't find "small companies" for cheap. They're small so they can't have cheap sales on Evo and generally(not always) smaller companies use better materials and cost more generally.

I could probably get the money for kartels, I do live in portland, so it would be rad to rep on3p. The only thing I'm worried about is the kartels being too stiff for my liking.

Dont know why people are down voting this post. the Rossignol Slat skis so well and has just enough rocker to keep you afloat in the woods and deeps. I have these as my quiver right now but this year i am switching to the bacon. With the Rossi at 97 underfoot and extremely light at a very attractive price point how can you not put it on the list.

Because Rossi is a giant brand just like k2, why not just get the shreditors a at that point?

I actually really enjoy the flex pattern of the kartels (I have the 106). They have a stiffer flex than the k2 shreditor for sure, but the rocker profile and shape of the ski makes it super playful. It's not like it's super still anyways, there's some flex to them.

Maybe fatypus ltoro? They're a small company and the ltoro is quite flexy. It's 101mm underfoot and has tip and tail early rise

I had shreditor 102's at the start of last year, super fun ski, really really soft, if you try to butter to far you can end up laying on your back. mine held alright until about January then I blew out 3/4 sidewalls in one day jumpin.

picked up a pair of kartels 98's , definitely beefier, "stiffer" I'd call them just more solid, more rocker. Still riding them now, they are the perfect ski if you wanna be able to charge hard still but also butter around. like I said I wouldn't really call them stiff, but they have a backbone and you can't just keep flexing them like the k2's. But with the rocker you can definitely butter the hell outta them if you know how to. Also noticeably more poppy. I like mine so much I got amother pair at home

For real they are heavy but so nice they ski anything and are so stable.

You really think they are heavy? i have them and found them to be lighter than all the k2 skis and all the small ski company skis (outside of liberty) For a 181 i think they are pretty light given the size they are and what they are made of

I think they are pretty heavy but not bothering it just makes them stable and just like a semi truck. There are no brakes on the slat/rape train.

One of the gazillion other ~100mm wide twin tips with rocker tips and tails? Literally every fucking brand makes this ski; some even make two or three. Just get one, you'll have fun on any of them.

Ya want to know the difference between a 'big' ski manufacturer and a small one? The number of people working for it for next to no money because they love skiing. No one is getting rich building skis. It doesn't matter which company you look at, everyone involved loves skiing.
