How to grow balls

Hey guys so I love flipping and spinning off small kickers at my ski hill, but I only have the balls to do it on smaller features. I really want to do it on bigger features though. Any suggestions on how to grow some balls and just go to a big booter?

usually when it comes to doing sketchy shit i just turn off my brain. the longer it takes u too drop in the more your gonna talk yourself out of it. just drop in and wind up. ive done some pretty crazy shit and this is what i do

No really though it just takes commitment. Try doing a couple straight airs off it first and visualize what you would do for say a 3. Then just go for it and commit! Setting a rotation halfass because your scared will usually hurt a lot worse than over rotating or just not getting it to your feet. Also try picking a jump with a steep landing. Landings will be a lot softer. Even if I don't land it my first try, it always seems a lot less scary the next time.

Work yourself up to bigger jumps. Learn everything solid on small features. Then start simple on big jumps. straight air until you're comfortable, then 180 until you're comfy, 360, 540, backflip, etc. combining basics is how you build big tricks.

Just count to 3 and do it. Like the others said don't stand around too much before hand or you will get sketched out with the 3 count you have to go because what are you going to do keep fucking counting.

It really isn't and harder/scarier off a bigger jump once you try it, I personally think that most tricks are easier with more airtime. Also just because the jump is bigger does not mean it will hurt more to crash, just make sure you have the speed dialed in with some straight airs.

if you have the rotations down i saw double it up on the bigger jump. As in if you can do a front flip of a 10 foot kicker do a 2 of a 20 footer. More realistically i would just work my way up to doing teh flips by doing threes and ones until im familiar with the size of the jump.

Can't let your brain mentally fuck you. Night before skiing, decide you're going to huck the biggest back flip of your life. Next morning, do a few warm up runs, then fucking send it. Don't spend the day thinking about it and building the nerves and drama

What helps for me is straight lift to feature runs. I go straight from the lift and hit the feature without stopping, so I don't even have to think.

I always figure that as long as you clear the jump right you should be fine. You already know the tricks so don't worry about that cause the trick won't hurt you as long as you commit. Remind yourself you've done it before. Worst case you wash out or take a small slam and slide down. Straight air once to get the speed right then huck something.
